About Ahmed Monib
Ahmed has over thirteen years of experience in the construction industry, as an engineer, performance excellence and quality leader, and construction manager. Ahmed was the Six Sigma Corporate Master Black Belt and Deployment Champion for the Bechtel Corporation, one of the world’s largest Engineering and Construction firms. During his tenure, Ahmed led the development of the corporate vision and strategy for achieving operational and performance excellence. One of the outcomes was the successful launch of the Lean Construction program- now implemented across Bechtel worldwide. Recently, Ahmed was the Operations Manager for Bechtel Construction Operations, responsible for ensuring the effective execution and management of Bechtel construction operations worldwide. Ahmed has worked internationally on the Khalifa Port Construction Project, in Abu Dhabi, and was responsible for construction management of the telecommunication fiber network and for establishing the project’s testing and commissioning test program. Currently, Ahmed is the Chief Construction Engineer for the Oil, Gas, and Chemical business unit of Bechtel, responsible functionally for field engineering services and personnel worldwide. Outside of work, Ahmed co-founded the Las Vegas wellness center: a free health clinic serving the disadvantaged in North Las Vegas. He has also organized several multicultural fund raising events.
