ABOUT AHMED BAKHEET

I am a senior research scientist with a Ph.D. in pathology and pathophysiology, focusing on cellular biology, genetics, and cancer biology, my advanced education and five years of postdoctoral training in China and the USA have equipped me with extensive knowledge and skills in experimental methods and research techniques. With over ten years of experience in clinical and scientific research laboratories, I have published more than ten papers on various topics, including cancer biology, genetics, pharmaceutical research, cellular biology, molecular biology, and immunology. I am proficient in numerous experimental methods, such as DNA, RNA, and protein recombination, stem cell biology, RNAseq, NGS, and manipulation.Currently, my research investigates the effects of alcohol on the autophagy-lysosome mechanism, intestinal homeostasis, and liver injury in epithelial cells. I manage the lab, write protocols and policies, and publish scientific papers. My work is crucial for understanding alcohol-induced liver diseases and may lead to novel therapeutic strategies. Additionally, I train and mentor lab fellows and technicians, contributing to the development of future scientists.I actively contribute as a reviewer for several high-index international journals and publishers. I am also deeply involved in global academic networking, attending conferences and workshops, joining academic societies, leveraging social media platforms, collaborating on research projects, and maintaining strong professional relationships. These efforts support my academic growth and career development.
