ABOUT RAMIN AYAZ
I work in social services in Toronto, focusing on housing, eviction prevention, case management, and settlement support. Over the years, I have supported individuals and families from different backgrounds, including newcomers, refugees, and those at risk of homelessness, helping them connect with the resources and support needed to find stability and move forward. Right now, I am pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Windsor, where I am continuing to build my skills in advocacy, trauma-informed care, and community-based practice. I am especially passionate about housing justice and supporting people through difficult transitions with compassion and respect. Before moving into the social work field, I worked in communications, with experience in media, public relations, and content creation. While that’s no longer my primary focus, those skills still help me communicate clearly and advocate effectively for the people I work with. I am constantly learning and looking for ways to grow, both personally and professionally- and I care deeply about making a real difference in people’s lives.
