ABOUT AHMAD NIMR

My solid background in mathematics, programming, and electronics enables me to work in different areas. I started my carrier by working as a developing engineer in the domains of electronics and programming. During this position, I have accumulated hands-on experience in board design, microcontroller, electronic components, software and hardware interfacing. In parallel, I have achieved an advanced level in software development, especially using C/C++. Then, I moved back to academia by pursuing a master study in communications and signal processing with a main focus on gaining research skills. After obtaining the master degree, I had the chance to work as a research associate in an environment that allows to combine the theory and practice. Moreover, I had the opportunity to gain advanced scientific and technical skills by working in several German and EU projects with industrial and academic partners, in addition to the publication in several journals and participation in international conferences. I concluded this stage by accomplishing a Doctoral degree in Engineering. Next, I will continue my work in academia with eyes on the industry to steer the research towards more fruitful applicable results. My ambition is to further explore the area of communications and signal processing from the perspective of interdisciplinary research.
