ABOUT AHMAD MOHAMMADI
I am currently a PhD student in Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick and a Senior Graduate Teaching Assistant. My research focuses on the political economy of development in Afghanistan, with particular attention to fragile states and how they transition toward more stable and functional systems. I work confidently with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.Although I am currently in the field of Politics and International Studies, I consider myself an economist with several years of teaching and academic leadership experience. I have served as Head of the Business Economics Department, where I supported research initiatives and built academic partnerships. I hold two Master’s degrees from the University of Tehran and the University of York, which reflect my strong interest in development studies and economic issues. My broader research interests include economic development, state-building, conflict and peace, political settlements, and violence. In addition to my academic work, I am the Founder of Tabassom Charity Foundation, which supports educational opportunities for Afghan students.
