ABOUT AHMAD ALMAUDUDY AMRI

Ahmad Almaududy Amri, Ph.D (Dudy) is a Diplomat from Indonesia. He works at the Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International Treaties at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. In 20••••21, he completed his term as First Secretary at Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in New York to the United Nations (Political Division). In 2020, he was seconded as Legal Adviser to the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly, 75th Session. Dudy is a lawyer by training having finished his Bachelor of Law from the University of North Sumatra in 2008. He also holds two master degrees, a Master of Laws degree from Gadjah Mada University which he finished in 2010 and a Master of International Relations degree from the University of Indonesia which he finished in 2011. Dudy also holds the distinction of being the youngest graduate in his bachelor and both master degrees. In 2016, Dudy completed Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Wollongong, Australia, with dissertation titled “Maritime Security Challenges in Southeast Asia: Analysis of International and Regional Legal Frameworks”. He has published his research in numerous international journals and presented them in international conferences. In 2021, Dudy received an award from Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) as the Youngest Doctor of International Law from Australian University. Dudy was formerly a junior advocate at the MR & P Law Firm, Jakarta (2009).
