Unpaid position) I founded and lead the team at Sports Medal Recycling. I serve as the main point of contact, handle media questions, and race director relations. I also oversee the quality and integrity of our recycling progress and charitable donations.Sports Medal Recycling is a group of athletes that recycles unwanted or extra road race, endurance event, sport and academic medals. We use the proceeds to fund our charity/fundraising endurance event minimums, or to support the fundraising efforts of others. We keep recyclable metal out of landfills and help support some great charities. This is a zero-landfill program: all metal, all ribbons, all plastic wrapping, and all cardboard shipping boxes are recycled.In addition, we support nonprofits by providing clean, non-branded, unused race ribbons that charity races can use to make their own medals or awards. We can also send these clean unused ribbons to special care facilities or children\'s camps that could use them for craft projects or service programs.Website:
