About Agustin Diaz

I am a project manager, team leader, university educator, and researcher that does work in social impact and operations who has spent about 10 years in the field of higher education and I\'ve pivoted into Non-Profit and Social Impact/Environmental Social Governance work. My time at the university can be described as powerful and painful. The best of both worlds in student affairs and service-learning experiences. I managed teams and led out on impactful and data-driven programs and have witnessed success. That being said, I left on a great note and have made my way into the corporate sector where my experiences can be described in the following- project directing and program leadership - team-building and relationship management - teaching critical and innovative praxis (theory and practice) on systems, design-thinking, and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion)- database management and data visualization - event-building - organizational and systems strategist - qualitative research efforts - social impact and ESG - outreach and recruitment I am also a community organizer, poet, writer, fisher, gardener, partner, and father. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY (Lenape land). My family comes from the land of Lempira\'s great coalition, the land of Ceiba trees and Garifuna territory (La Ceiba, Honduras) and the North Western Andean coasts of the Kanari and Otavalo peoples (GuayaQuil, Ecuador), and I currently live on the land of the Timpanogos Ute.#BLM #NoHumanIsIllegal #Landback

   My current role as Social Impact and ESG Manager for Sorenson is to be responsible to review, support, track, and report to the organization on the company’s impact strategies, policies, risks, and practices. As the Impact Manager, I also report directly to the Chief Impact Officer and oversee the analysis and reporting of Sorenson’s impact and development. Additionally, I execute on Sorenson’s new strategic objectives tied to our launch of impact initiatives, while maintaining and refining the company’s approach for maximum impact and strong intersection with business performance across the organization.
