ABOUT AGUEDA PEREZ

As a senior full-stack software developer at CityTaps, I combine my passion for tech and the public good by creating innovative software solutions that help water utilities improve their services to low-income households. I like creating elegant and efficient solutions and have experience with the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Vue.js, React, SQL, MongoDB, Docker, CI/CD, TDD, RabbitMQ, Microservices, Git, AWS. Throughout my career, I have always been eager to tackle new challenges and work with forward-thinking teams that share my commitment to leveraging technology for the greater good.In addition to my technical background, I hold a Bachelor\'s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master\'s degree in International Relations from SciencesPo. With over 10 years of experience in public service and international project management I have a track record of spearheading successful initiatives in the education sector.At Sciences Po, I played a key role in establishing the university\'s international presence in Europe, India, and North America. This involved creating and developing fundraising initiatives, forging strategic partnerships, and significantly increasing recruitment from those regions.My passion for social justice then led me to establish and grow the charity \'Le Choix de l\'ecole\'. The organization is dedicated to improving the quality of education for underprivileged high schools in France. It recruits and trains talented university graduates to work as teachers in low-income areas, providing them with the necessary skills and resources to make a meaningful impact on their students\' lives. Five years ago, I made a bold career change to become a software developer and have found it to be an incredibly rewarding experience. I believe that my diverse background and skillset enable me to approach problems from unique perspectives and write code that adds the most possible value to end-users.
