ABOUT PRASANNA PERERA
I’m an Information Technology professional with over 10 years’ experience in designing implementing and supporting IT solutions for clients ranging from SMB to Enterprise. Having started my career as a Systems Engineer at IBM, I quickly became an expert in AS400 (IBM i), IBM AIX, IBM Power Systems, PowerVM virtualization, IBM Storage systems and SAN technologies. I have executed dozens of IT infrastructure projects covering the full life cycle from hardware installation, system configuration, data migration, go-live to daily remote/onsite technical support, troubleshooting and problem resolution. With this demonstrated history of technical support expertise for both local and regional clients, I took on a new challenge at IBM, becoming a Client Technical Specialist (pre-sales specialist). It was both demanding and rewarding at the same time. I became a trusted technical advisor to my clients and to internal teams for many products and solutions including private and hybrid cloud, storage and SAP HANA IT infrastructure. I was able to drive continuous revenue growth for my division displacing the competition through superior technical solution design and consultation for which I won multiple prestigious awards including \"Best of IBM\" and \"Hundred Percent Club\". My most recent endeavor was to lead a small team of IT professionals in a challenging startup environment where I was able to strengthen my technical skills as an end-to-end IT solutions architect as well as sharpen my strategic decision-making, leadership and team management skills.
