About Andrew Hamilton
I am a student in my last term at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working in the Sweedler Group and Biohub to pursue analytical chemistry projects while leading multiple on-campus clubs dedicated to mentorship and neuroscience-topics I\'ve come to love. In pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in neuroscience with a focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of brain function and behavior, I hope to improve our understanding of the brain, with byproducts being the modification of the teaching processes in our academic institutions and the ability to lead and mentor effectively a person, group, or organization-grounding these areas in an understanding of neurodevelopment. With this, I equally plan to investigate the complexities of neurodevelopment and neurocognitive disorders, developing treatments-or even a cure-someday.
