   My family tree has roots in publishing. My father and his siblings and mother helped my grandfather, Armondo Perilli, write and publish his Italian newspaper, Il Secolo XX or 20th Century, in their New Jersey home. Following in their footsteps, I began my writing and communications career as a reporter for The Princeton Packet newspaper where my investigative journalism on neighboring municipalities\' collaborative land management received recognition from the New Jersey Press Association. Recruited to serve as social editor, I also enjoyed writing monthly magazine articles and occasional opinion columns. To realize my vision of creating original communications, I completed the postgraduate Radcliffe book and magazine publishing program in Cambridge, Massachusetts, now at the Columbia Journalism School in New York. Recruited from Radcliffe, I helped European Travel & Life consumer magazine in New York establish an advertising section which exceeded business expectations from our first bi-monthly issue.Before I founded Aggie Perilli Communications International (APCI) in 1990, I became part of a four-member editorial team who transformed a biweekly trade newspaper in New York into the monthly Housewares Retailing magazine. I also managed the production of AT & T technical publications for six writing groups in Middletown and Lincroft, New Jersey. A former AT & T client recommended me to Pfizer in New York to create a global newsmagazine. I assembled a team and wrote and produced an award-winning quarterly that led to additional publications and effective multimedia campaigns that launched APCI.As APCI became recognized for consistently delivering award-winning results, our business expanded to create empathetic and unifying communications and transformative campaigns for nonprofits and spokespeople.
