I am a licensed lawyer by the Law Society of Ontario and a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe (CIPP/E). My expertise lies in helping organizations manage their data in a responsible and compliant manner. In addition, I deliver detailed legal, technical analysis for a variety of business requirements with a concentration on security, privacy, compliance. I earned my law degree from the University of Birmingham and currently serve as an Privacy Analyst within Open Text\'s Global Information Security (GIS) team. I report to and work directly with Sr. Director, Security in providing legal support to all areas of our Corporate, Security, Privacy and other cross-functional partners. I worked as an Associate Privacy Specialist at Alida in Toronto, where I applied my legal and technical knowledge to help navigate complex privacy issues. I also worked at BARBRI Global, a legal education provider specializing in U.S. bar review and the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) for solicitors in England and Wales. I served as the Legal Advisor in the EMEA and Americas sales and marketing teams, and developed sales campaigns across emerged and emerging territories, including both B2C and B2B clients. At heart, I am a problem-solver, passionate about using my legal and technical expertise to find practical solutions to complex privacy challenges. I strive to stay ahead of the curve by staying informed of the latest developments in privacy law, and I am committed to helping businesses navigate the evolving privacy landscape while building and maintaining customer trust.
