I have performed a number of roles during my career in IT, most recently providing leadership across both IT operations and software development to ensure 24/7 service availability for B2C and B2B business units while rapidly delivering software in an agile development environment.I have played a key role in maintaining stable IT operations during very chaotic business cycles that have included the creation and rapid growth of a successful online information start up, the merger with an established German offline information provider, and the integration of independent business models within large media groups.Working in a very competitive on-line information environment has given me an acute awareness of commercial realities, and the need to deliver competitive advantages within budget and to specification, while maintaining business as usual.
