ABOUT AFTON LIN

Hello! I am an illustrator, designer, and visual development artist, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and a minor in Asian Studies from the Kansas City Art Institute. Over the past 1.5 years, I have honed my narrative skills by co-editing videos for YouTubers Kaiti Yoo and Cece Xie for their combined audience of over subscribers.While at college, I collaborated with clients such as Cerner and ParlorKC to create murals that showcase their brand identities. After graduation, I continued working with clients and applied my creative problem-solving skills. At RW2 Productions, I directed, created animated graphics, and edited a video advertisement for local restaurant Tiki Taco. I also designed narrative and spot illustrations for a table display for the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art\'s \"Monet and His Modern Legacy\" paid exhibition and assisted with styling at Hallmark Cards by preparing and creating props.I am passionate about telling authentic stories to audiences that resonate with their lives and offer escapism. I believe thorough research and wild experimentation are crucial for good storytelling, and I aim to apply these principles to every project. My enthusiasm for learning about fashion, culture, and art techniques sets me apart on any team.
