I have had the good fortune to have worked in the public, third sector and business wolrd. I am at ease in all those arena\'s and bring my unique skills set to do almost anything that I set my mind to. Some call me a disrupter.I can live with that. If we don\'t challenge injustice then we are complicit in its outcome. Currently the CEO of Legacy West Midlands, since 2010. Legacy WM was founded in my living room and I have developed into a leading charity in Birmingham delivering on heritage, wellbeing, arts and cohesion. The website will give you an overview of all the work that is being done I have been a senior public sector professional with wide range of strategic and operational experience of working at a regional and national level. I was the Head of Stronger Communities for Government Office for the West Midlands (GOWM). A secondment to Urban Living (Housing Pathfinder) has given me valuable housing and regeneration expertise. I have had several catering businesses in the past. I now run Bayleaf Training Ltd, which is a consultancy service for third sector development and fundraising. I have raised over a million pound for the third sector and businesses. I was the founder Chair and later the Director for the Bangladeshi Youth Forum (BYF), I gained invaluable experience in the voluntary sector at a strategic level. My role within BYF was to provide strategic leadership to empower disenfranchised youth. I manage a staff team at Legacy WM and have done for GOWM and BYF which has given me exceptional leadership / management and motivational skills.
