My team focuses on designing fundamental 2D and 3D machine learning components that power several core apple technologies on Apple new hardware. I joined the team at Apple that shipped FaceID. Later on, went on to lead a team of world class researchers and engineers that shipped Apple\'s first neural detection and tracking engine that powers almost all iOS cameras equipped with Bionic Chip (iPhone XS and later). Additionally, I have established a 3D scene understanding team that is pushing the boundaries of applied 3D computer vision by designing and building best in class 3D models, powered by Apple Lidar sensor. So far we have enabled new experiences such as RoomPlan that was released in WWDC 2022.
