ABOUT ANGELA KLOHS FOUDRAY
I have a 13-year research background in materials and device characterization, spectroscopy, microscopy and computational physics. I have developed and characterized novel technology from silicon photo-detectors and inorganic scintillators (Stanford) to fuel cells (Motorola), superconductors (University of Wisconsin-Madison Synchrotron Radiation Center) and low-friction materials (Argonne National Lab). I have also worked in device and systems simulation, data analysis, image processing and learning algorithms for the fields of solid state physics, astrophysics, high-energy physics, biophysics, and medical imaging.Microscopy: optical, AFM, SEMSpectroscopy: ARPES, spectrophotometry, PET, SPECT, CT, EDS/EDXInverse Problems: expectation maximization, bayesSimulation: Monte Carlo, event-based, particle tracking, device operationModeling: biological, electrical, device, medical imagingAlgorithms: signal processing, image processing, learning, classification, detectionMaterial Science: scintillators, solid state devices, superconductors, low-friction materials, PEM membranes, polyimide filmsBiomedical Imaging: PET, SPECT, CT, fluorescence imaging, bioluminescent imagingSingle Molecule Biophysics: FRET, Optical tweezers, confocal fluorescence imaging, entanglement, rheology, AFMSolid State DevicesPhotodetectors: silicon, CZT, APD, PSAPD, PMTEnergy Conversion Devices: Fuel CellsSpecialties: novel materials and devices, microscopy, computational physics
