Board Member @United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee
Oversee the communication, qualification, and allocation of grants to Team USA athletes and establish an educational/collegiate network for athletes to utilize when seeking learning opportunities. Establish long- and short-term strategic goals and objectives of the grant and educational programs while managing data collection for reporting and insights. • Developed first-ever 3-part educational series on D&I that brought together staff, NGB’s, and athletes in the same learning environment with speakers such as Judy Heumann, Jill Houghton (Disability:IN), Lori Samuels (NBC Universal), and other respected figures in the field. • Restructured USOPC Tuition Grant Process to open up learning opportunities to many more athletes so I was able to award over $1.5million in grant money for educational opportunities. • Brought in a disability advocate and lawyer to help our Paralympic athletes learn more about their career opportunities, advocating for accommodations, and learning about their financial future. • Connected the organization with community resources to start to form key partnerships to foster a more accessible and equitable organization for the needs of our employees and athletes.
