I spent a decade in data science and ML engineering, including an EngD from Strathclyde modelling high-peak-power laser systems for defence. Somewhere between lasers and energy storage, I fell in love with making complex operational data actually useful. I sit on The Data Lab\'s Innovation Advisory Board. I host the Hypercube Energy Podcast and write the Beyond Data newsletter for data leaders. Dad of two, fitness enthusiast. — HYPERCUBE Building the operational intelligence platform for the energy transition. We started by solving the hardest data problems in energy — BESS portfolios, VPPs, renewable asset management — and built something most companies never do: a proprietary energy ontology encoding domain knowledge, asset relationships, and operational logic into a structured semantic layer. This ontology is our platform\'s foundation. It makes things that are impossibly hard for everyone else routine for us — connecting tools, teams, and data across energy portfolios so AI compounds rather than decays. 30+ team, bootstrapped to £2.6M ARR.
