About Adwaita Desai
I am a person who believes in working smart and doing purposeful work. I\'ve worked for fortune 500 clients in solving their business problems by leveraging data to generating actionable insights and recommendations. I\'ve been a teacher, mentor, and friend to over 100 students in 2 years. I currently lead research and development at Life-Lab, where I work on designing innovative products to make science learning fun and creative. At heart, I’m a designer and an educator. I am learning to let go of preconceived notions and stereotypes and see things as they are. I like discussing ideas around education, experiential learning, innovative approaches to curriculum development and pedagogy, behavioural economics, personal well-being, and relationships. I also have an insatiable passion for music and enjoy collaborating, often as a vocalist. At heart, I am a person who likes to understand the need of the hour and find the optimum solution which takes maximum stakeholders into consideration. I am inspired by the wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and experience of the people I work with. Through this platform, I’d like to connect with like-minded individuals, and organizations solving interesting problems. Learning is Fun and Experiential (LIFE) lab is an innovative hands-on lab designed to foster creativity and rationality among children using science education as bedrock. The core ideology of life lab is - Science is an Attitude, not just an academic discipline. Our journey begins with setting up life labs in low-income under-resourced schools and community centres; hence directly benefitting children from economically disadvantaged communities by inculcating the art of questioning, reasoning, and analyzing.
