About Advika Sengupta
Growing up in Dubai, I had a front-row seat to one of the world’s most ambitious architectural transformations. Over the past 17 years, I have watched skyscrapers rise from the desert — inspiring my dream to become an architect who designs spaces that are not only functional, but emotionally resonant. I am currently a senior, pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture at Cornell University, where I am deepening my understanding of design, structure, and the intersection of art and engineering. Architecture captivates me because it brings together everything I love: art, design, geometry, and problem-solving. I find inspiration in everyday objects — even a slice of lemon can reveal extraordinary patterns if you stop to look. My passion grew stronger when I discovered architects like Zaha Hadid, whose visionary work reimagines natural forms into dynamic, expressive structures. I am excited to continue learning, creating, and eventually contributing to the built environment in a way that leaves a meaningful mark.
