As a co-founder of the Coalition to Re-Imagine School Waste, Compostology implements food waste action programs in Maryland and, since March 2024, globally. We were awardees of a grant from the World Wildlife Fund and collaborated with MD Delegates to introduce and advocate for HB150/SB124 in the Maryland General Assembly, in addition to securing a funded mandate for food recovery in all Montgomery County Public Schools alongside other countywide funds. As co-founder and co-president with my peer Angelina Xu, I spearhead this legislative and advocacy work while training students and community leaders in launching school-based programs.
