About Dan Higgins
As a senior digital strategist and team builder, I’ve led award-winning social media programs for some of the nation’s most vital causes and brands. From tobacco control and youth bullying prevention to Lyme disease awareness and women in science, my work has helped shape public health narratives and drive measurable impact across more than 50 federal contracts. I’ve scaled agency capabilities at Arnold Worldwide, Plowshare, and ICF Next—growing teams, launching influencer and paid media programs, and delivering full-spectrum digital marketing services to clients including the CDC, Truth Initiative, Progressive, Fidelity, Santander Bank, Tyson Foods, Avocados From Mexico, Sanofi, Rhone Valley Wine, and University of Phoenix. These efforts have earned six Effie Awards and eight Clio Healthcare Awards for integrated campaigns that moved audiences and markets. Beyond the agency world, I’ve served as a board member for AMA Boston, guest lectured for AAF and PRSA, and mentored emerging talent in college classrooms and professional settings. Recently, I spent time as a part-time high school marketing educator and DECA advisor. I remain deeply committed to developing future creative communicators and marketers. I’m also a U.S. Army Reserve combat veteran, having served as a Medical Service Officer with the rank of Captain during Operation Enduring Freedom. I was honored with the Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal for my service.
