I am an opsimath, polymath, and polyglot, currently working as a Research Engineer / Manager at Facebook Reality Labs, helping build the future.Prior to that, I have worked at Amazon (mostly in NLP-oriented R&D teams), and in smaller companies that use functional programming languages (working on projects ranging from NLP to options pricing).I completed my Ph.D. in Information Science at Tôhoku University in 2012, discussing formal (i.e. mathematical) methods for proving correctness of distributed systems with transfer of programs (thesis title: Environmental Bisimulations for Higher-Order Distributed Process Calculi).
