Enhance the Department’s internal capacity to optimize the delivery of its mission.Develops written products (e.g, contracts, decision memos, etc.) and communicates (participation at meetings, conducts briefings, etc.) to meet the Department’s management goals-Makes new awards to grantees and contractors and monitors all grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts in a manner that meets Federal, department and division requirements and time frames, thereby mitigating risk and meeting the requirements of the Department’s Strategic goals-Contracts Officer Representative-Competition/Panel Manager-Fosters collaborative partnerships across RSA‐funded, Department‐funded, or other agency‐funded projects to enhance project impact on the target population served-Maintains good working relations with internal and external colleagues and works well as a member of a team to achieve goals and enhance organizational outcomes, to meet the requirements of the Department’s Strategic goals-Workgroup Participation: •Actively and positively participates in internal and external workgroups (e.g, interagency activities not part of regularly assigned program area assignments); and •Consistently volunteers for special assignments or ad hoc workgroups.Content Expertise: •Maintains and expands professional content expertise in the field of vocational rehabilitation, special education, budgets, and/or related fields; and•Demonstrates awareness of established organizational goals and priorities and how individual content expertise contributes to the govt. •Sets and monitors realistic goals for self and for grantees/contractors aligned with established organizational goals and priorities; •Seeks opportunities to improve own performance; •Develops priorities that reflect current research and the needs of the field and program, areculturally and linguistically responsive. Priorities are developed in accordance with policies and office procedures for priority development.

ABOUT ADRIENNE RODRIGUEZ-ARANDA
Ms. Aranda has worked to ensure compliance and regulatory efforts are carried out with fidelity. She exudes executive presence, leverages the ability to highlight accommodations and the thought partner that ensures fiscal responsibility is at the helm of her time as a public servant. Under her watch the paradigm shift from not only compliance but quality is prioritized. At ED her portfolio includes content within the Office of Special Education Rehabilitative Services with an emphasis in American Indian Special Education and Rural America. Past accolades were gleaned during her tenure at the Office of State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). She was responsible for the parent survey which solicited feedback related to services in schools. Through this work OSSE improved its services to appropriate stakeholders. Every year an increased response rate was reported to the U.S. Dept. of Ed. Additionally, OSSE was released from a federal court oversight based on the acute monitoring established through her grit. At OSSE she served as the Districts liaison on the Mayoral appointed Advisory Panel on Ed. She spearheaded agency contracts, served as content adviser on regulation policy, conducted grant audits & supported the Annual Performance Report. Aranda can be described in 3 C\'s: connected, compassionate, and creative. Through her work experience she has fostered connections from coast to coast. Through her personal experience she understands that pen to paper matters. Reading, writing & understanding laws and regulations is needed, but what is required is reaching everyone. Inclusivity, through the Language Access Act, is garnered by braille, sign language, etc & having compassion is the key to opening the door to new possibilities and conversations. Through a clear lens her creative side shines. OSSE was founded in 2008. She has had the opportunity to work at the newest educational agency in the country, adopting best practices & creating new and innovative data driven systems allow DC students and educators to thrive. Creatively she has contributed to the educational landscape by way of leading annual communication marketing within DC. She has proven leadership skills in her career but remains a champion for her community. Originally from East Chicago, she\'s the first in her family to relocate to our nations capital. In her spare time she enjoys cheering for Chicago team sports with her husband Daniel and son Cruz.
