I enjoy getting to know people and helping them solve problems. My career spans designing products from scratch to improving the teams, cultures and processes that build them. By using a customer- or human-centered design approach, I help companies improve their online and physical products with design thinking, usability research, prototyping and testing.Great products with superior user experiences come from- understanding the problem and defining what success means- UX, user research, accessibility, product management, development and marketing teams collaborating- talking to users, and then talking to them some more- testing ideas- having a life outside of work.

US Consumer Card Acquisition and Strategy (online channel)At American Express, I provide UX and UI guidance, support and strategy on public-facing acquisition projects ranging in value from to $3B. My work focuses on the user and creating experiences that are easy to use, meet accessibility requirements, meet legal requirements, reduce risk and help the company reach its goals.I oversee the design team responsible for helping United States customers research, apply and be decisioned for credit card and bank accounts. We create and enhance end-to-end customer experiences across multiple product teams. You’ll find us translating information into process maps, journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes and even project plans, all while working hand-in-hand with user research. Our team frequently presents conceptual ideas and completed work to executive leadership and key stakeholders.I enjoy being a team player and helping those new to the company or the field of user experience. I screen, interview and hire UX, UI and product design candidates for roles in the American Express acquisition division.
