About Adrienne Greenfield

With more than 25 years in the legal arena, with an emphasis in commercial and transactional law, I am currently serving as Senior Counsel for the corporate practice group at Independence Blue Cross. In particular, I am sought out for developing and negotiating outsourcing (including offshore) and technology transactional agreements in emerging markets. My expertise in the field of complex commercial law involves drafting multi-million dollar, enterprise-wide legal agreements. As global outsourcing continues to increase exponentially, my primary responsibility is to customize outsourcing strategies to ensure that corporate risk is mitigated while corporate profitability is optimized. As lead counsel for these complex, multi-million projects requires astute legal skills as well as an ability to be politically agile with key constituents. I truly enjoy this component of my position and strive to build consensus among stakeholders as well as serving as a trusted advisor to the C-level suite. In the past, my career appointments included serving as Associate General Counsel at AMTRAK and Assistant Deputy Counsel at SEPTA. After graduating from the Washington College of Law of the American University in DC, I spent my earlier years at several high profile Philadelphia law firms where I specialized in zoning land use, real estate, and commercial law.
