After a career building community through industry magazines and writing about entrepreneurs and small business owners, I took a leap and established my own business: a cafe designed to build community in my small Connecticut town. The experience has given me renewed respect for all of the entrepreneurs I ever wrote about as well as the startup founders I worked for! I\'m enjoying almost every minute of my new occupation, though I do miss my writing life when I have time to remember it. Nowadays, the only writing I do is of a monthly newsletter for our cafe community: The Flying A. Subscribe on our website! And if you\'re ever in our area, stop in for a visit! Formerly: I write the stories and explain the work of innovators in science, technology, and business. Over a 25-year career, I\'ve been a top magazine editor (Genome Technology and New York Academy of Sciences), a contributing writer (Techonomy, Yahoo, Forbes, Technology Review), a ghostwriter of corporate content (TI, HPE, SalesForce, cPrime, Philips, GE Ventures, and many more), and I\'ve co-authored a book,\"Let\'s Be Clear: 6 Disciplines of Focused Management Pros,\" published with Ed Eppley in 2018.
