Currently acting as CCO of Mynd, I help innovators and researchers de-risk and accelerate their projects. In R&D-intensive sectors such as pharma, energy, or chemistry, innovating and developing new products remains extremely costly, with a highly uncertain return on investment. Research project failure rates can reach 60 to 80%. For these companies, identifying and qualifying the right projects early on is crucial to maximizing ROI. Mynd helps research and innovation teams accelerate and de-risk their projects. Powered by AI, the platform instantly explores vast volumes of patents and publications, detects key trends, maps technology ecosystems, and uncovers hidden opportunities. The result: faster, better-informed innovation and stronger strategic decisions that reduce risks and increase the profitability of R&D efforts. Some examples of what we do: Mapping entire ecosystems of technologies, stakeholders, and applications in complex, fast-moving domains (e.g: carbon capture, quantum computing, cell therapy.) Helping teams tackle concrete technical challenges. For example, delivering tailored shortlists of PFAS alternative candidates adapted to specific products and processes. Partnering with public organizations (universities, institutes, etc.) to strengthen ties between industry and research.
