Working voluntarily and enthusiastically to realise Atkins’ corporate social responsibility commitments by leading the STEM outreach engagement program for the South-East. Exercising annual budget control, I utilised my management, communication and workload prioritisation skills to facilitate over 70 STEM events a year. This included coordinating, communication and management strategies together with maintaining updated audit records for compliance with the Atkins’ company ethics policy, safeguarding policies and completion of QSSE documents e.g. Risk Assessments and work experience insurance. The number of targeted STEM events in 2019 was exceeded while still being delivered under budget, these included:• Bring Your Child to Work Day for 56 employee children aged between 5 and 11 years old.• Establishing an Atkins mentoring program in coordination with the Surrey STEM charity, SATRO, and the Higher Education Outreach Network (HEON).• Organised over 20 visits to the Atkins STEM Lab by local schools and youth groups.• Project Managing the ‘New Woodcote Grove Office Opening’ event, working collaboratively with Senior Leadership, the Facilities and Management team together with internal Communications to organise a STEM-focused office opening celebration, attended by school students from over 10 local school. Exercised financial control within a fixed and limited budget to deliver an engaging and inclusive event which was attended by the Atkins UK Chief Executive Officer and Finance Director.• Engaged in the organisation of Atkins’ attendance at the Big Bang Fair South-East, including coordination of four unique workshops for over 150 students. • Assisted with the organisation of Young Epilepsy UK’s first STEM Day at their purpose-built college in East Grinstead.•Hosted a STEM sessions in collaboration with TeenTech during the Covid-19 lockdown reaching over 400 students worldwide as well as being invited to judge the TeenTech Awards.
