Promoted to Facilities and Engineering Procurement Manager by British Cable co Ltd (A Wilms Group Business) Duties include: • Procurement and contract management of the utilities on site- Factory compressors, Water treatment, Steam generators, Machinery calibration, Gas cylinders and Heating. • Maintenance of the Sprinkler system to ensure they work to fire safety rules and regulations. • Waste Management. • Maintenance of the catering services and appliances. • Building and grounds maintenance of a 28-acre site. • Managing the Cleaning / Housekeeping staff. • Security Maintenance; CCTV, Intruder and fire alarms. • Managing the engineering stores and the store coordinator. • Technical purchasing of electrical, electronic and mechanical components. • Sourcing of obsolete machine parts and assisting the engineers during breakdowns. • Purchasing and handling of staff uniforms and PPE. • Responsible for the engineering expenditure, invoices and analysing cost savings. • Accountable for the company’s purchasing card, reduction of administrative costs, verifying accounting & allocating spend to correct accounts.
