ABOUT ADRIANO M C PIMENTA
I am a PhD-trained analytical scientist with over two decades of experience spanning academia, drug discovery, and multi-omics research.After 18 years as a faculty member at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), where I led research programs in toxinology, molecular pharmacology, and biochemistry, I relocated to Canada in 2022 to expand my work in mass spectrometry–based proteomics and metabolomics within translational research environments.My scientific career has focused on applying rigorous analytical approaches — including mass spectrometry, proteomics, and biochemical characterization — to complex biological systems and drug discovery challenges. I have authored over 110 peer-reviewed publications (h-index 30; 2,600+ citations) and co-invented more than ten patents, four of which have been granted.
