The State Specialist, within The College of Agriculture, Community, and the Sciences (ACE) at Kentucky State University (KYSU) provides trainings, services, and operational initiatives to stakeholders across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. They are responsible for providing educational resources for extension personnel, teachers, and students related to business, agribusiness, leadership and essential skills development. The Community Development Extension Specialist will primarily serve Frankfort and Central Kentucky. The state specialist will use researched data for program development and delivery of resources. In addition, the state specialist will develop organizational and workforce initiatives, working with Local Government Education and Support, Strategic Planning and Economic Development with an emphasis around Workforce Development. The state specialist will build effective partnerships and coalitions with community partners. This individual directly reports to the Program Leader for Community Resource Development.
