Essential functions,My position as ORR Case Manager is leading the program management support services to the Federal Government, providing care to Unaccompanied Children (UC) in a limited duration shelter dependent on the request from The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).As a Case Manager, I coordinate family reunification services for children ages 12 to 18 who have been placed in the temporary shelter care by ORR. As Case Manager, I help identify and vet potential sponsors to facilitate the discharge of the children in a timely manner. As a Case Manager, I also help connect children and sponsors to local resources and I am the primary liaison between the children and sponsor while in shelter care.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:As a Case Manager, I Conduct and document ORR UAC assessments.I coordinate case management and family reunification services for childrenInitiate and maintain direct contact with each child and the child’s family while the child is in ORR care.As a Case Manager, I am in charge to facilitate the timely release or discharge of children to identified family members or authorized caregiver/custodian.As a Case Manager, I Maintain the UAC case file and UAC Portal in accordance with ORR policies and procedures.
