ABOUT ADRIANA BENDECK RODRIGUEZ
I am deeply passionate about aviation and committed to safety. A Purdue University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Professional Flight Technology and a Master’s in Aerospace and Aviation Management, I’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry and its complexities. My internship at United Airlines reinforced the importance of building strong teams, trust, and prioritizing safety in all aspects of our work. During my studies, I also earned multiple FAA certifications, including Instrument and CFI, which I applied in part-time flight instruction. After graduation, I gained valuable experience at IBC Airways, a Part 135 operator, flying as a Captain on Saab 340s and First Officer on Embraer 145s. I later transitioned to Captain in both aircraft and took on the role of Safety Manager/Interim Director of Safety, focusing on implementing a Safety Management System. In 2019, I was offered a position at United Airlines, but due to COVID, I began flying with them in 2021. During the interim, I served as Captain and Assistant Director of Flight Operations at Legacy Airways, an experience that further prepared me for my role at United. Now, I’m proud to serve as United Airlines’ youngest female Captain, flying the B-737 out of Denver. I’m grateful to work for a company with a strong commitment to its employees, customers, and safety—values that align with my own. As I continue to grow in my career, I look forward to contributing to the company’s vision and helping it reach its full potential.
