ABOUT ADRIAN SINCLAIR

As a former co-founder and Director of Partnerships & Engagement at Vancouver Mural Festival (VMF) and Winter Arts Festival (WAF), I developed strategies, secured funding, and designed processes that empowered artists and community members to co-create public programming, placemaking initiatives, events, and public art in Vancouver and internationally.Over the past decade, in collaboration with my fellow directors, I have helped raise $4,608,433.67, which we have distributed to artists and performers since 2016. We secured this funding via public art commissions, private sector sponsorships, global brand partnerships, grants, and donations. My expertise lies in business development with a social impact lens and partnership strategy for social ventures, emphasizing unique multi-sector collaborations with strong community engagement. Over the past 9 years with VMF, I have created impactful public programming and public art in partnership with stakeholders such as the City of Vancouver, Musqueam Nation, BC Hydro, Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture, and many others.To date, I am most proud of my work with Debra Sparrow in co-creating and producing the Blanketing the City project (2017-present) in its many forms. This belief has driven me to dedicate the past decade to producing over 450 murals and 17 public festivals in Vancouver and beyond.I hold a BA in Communications from Simon Fraser University and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. I am a sauna enthusiast, musician, surfer, and a daily gong fu cha (tea) drinker.
