Adrian Russell is a construction industry ambassador, mentor and visionary. Adrian currently serves as Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion for Shiel Sexton in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has traveled the country as project manager for 10 years and now focuses his time on championing paths for people from every walk of life to enjoy long, rewarding careers in construction. He is a 2023 inductee into the Indianapolis Public Schools Hall of Fame – perhaps his most notable achievement. Additionally, he is a proud member of Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2021; named Diverse Executive of the Year by Indiana Construction Roundtable; Graduate of the Last Decade by Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning; Indy’s Best and Brightest in Real Estate and Construction by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, and a host of other distinctions.Adrian puts great effort in sowing into the lives of young people, perhaps most notably through the award-winning Russell’s Building Camp which introduces young people to the world of building and inspiring them create a better future for themselves and their community.Adrian maintains a strong community focus and is driven to inspire, motivate and leave a lasting legacy in the lives of many, particularly young people, just as his own mentors have for him.As a former athlete, Adrian is an avid sports fan and a musician. He most values his faith and his family, as he is a father to a beautiful young girl, Ava Marie Russell.
