About Adrian Predescu
Long, long time ago (memories are quite blurry now) I vaguely remember watching a movie with Alain Delon (I think) in which a powerful sorcerer was controlling the world through a computer. I knew what career should I pursue. After sometime (finishing Computer Science at “Politechnica” University of Bucharest) I’ve discovered that there is much more to computer science then just controlling the world, and I felt in love with operating systems, distributed programming and dbms.I’ve worked at a kernel for an operating system and few distributed server products for e-commerce start-ups in the.com era but eventually got seduced by Microsoft SQL Server team and their dreams to impact half planet - which I had the chance to do. albeit the magic used is technology not sorcery.
