ABOUT ADRIAN PEREZ
I’m a social worker and human rights professional with over a decade of experience in mental health, addiction services, and advocating for queer and Indigenous communities. I’m currently finishing a Master’s in Social Work as a Human Rights Profession at Alice Salomon Hochschule in Berlin, where I’ve been expanding my knowledge and honing my skills to make a bigger impact by driving systemic change through innovative program design and strategic leadership. My career has taken me from Canada’s northernmost communities to Berlin, and I’ve worked on projects like creating youth mental health strategies, building addiction treatment programs, and leading workshops on gender and sexual diversity. I’m passionate about breaking down barriers and creating inclusive, supportive spaces where people can thrive and build community. I’m fluent in English and Spanish and have a knack for connecting with people across cultures. Whether I’m organizing community events, designing trauma-informed care programs, or just showing up for someone in need, I aim to make a difference in a way that feels genuine and grounded. Now, I’m looking for opportunities in Europe where I can keep working toward social justice and human rights while staying connected to the communities I care about most.
