As the Director of Programs with Michigan Educator Workforce initiative, I work with local and national partners to launch and lead initiatives that build on the powerful educator talent work being done here in Michigan and via national exemplars. We design, implement, fund, and support innovative programs to recruit, develop, retain, and elevate both new and veteran teachers and school leaders. We see every Michigan public school enriched with skilled, highly-trained, and strongly supported educators who champion their students\' aspirations and individualities, fostering both their academic excellence and social-emotional well-being. I also have the privilege of designing and leading MEWI\'s work in the early childhood education sector with the goal of making a substantial impact on closing the current PreK lead teacher and PreK Associate teacher capacity gap in the state of Michigan over the next three years.
