I am a business oriented attorney based in Denver, Colorado who assists clients in ensuring their processes, policies, and agreements not only comply with the law, but also provide protections in their favor in the event a dispute ever arises. My compliance and preventive litigation experience spans multiple industries and fields, including labor and employment, securities, banking, oil and gas, cannabis, and construction. Besides the fields of compliance and preventative litigation, I am also experienced litigating and resolving simple to complex disputes. This includes small business disputes, broker-dealer litigation, complex commercial litigation, construction disputes, securities and banking issues, real estate litigation, cannabis industry disputes, and labor and employment. I have litigated before state and federal courts in numerous US states.As Corporate Counsel for Summit Utilities, I was responsible for advising the executive group, managing corporate affairs, assisting in contract drafting, managing company litigation, and the pre-litigation resolution of disputes. Prior to joining Fairfield and Woods, I worked in the New York office of White & Case, where I represented and counseled clients on litigation and bankruptcy matters, including violations of federal security statutes, breach of contract, fraud, antitrust violations, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and violations of state and federal RICO statutes. Lastly, I am committed to volunteer and pro bono work, having acted as pro bono counsel for immigrant children abandoned in the United States and for battered women seeking various forms of legal redress, I continues to provide pro bono counsel to a number of local non-profits, and work as a volunteer firefighter for my community. In my spare time, you can find me with my family, on the mountain, or enjoying the Colorado outdoors.
