ABOUT ADRIAN BULLOCK

A highly experienced Engineering Director with over 25 years in the highways industry, I have built my career on a collaborative approach, working across teams and organisations globally to deliver innovative, safe, effective, and commercially successful solutions for the business and its clients and partners. My experience also includes driving operational and commercial transformation across the business, helping to strengthen processes, improve efficiency and support sustainable growth. As Engineering & Production Director at Highway Care, I lead strategy, compliance, and R&D initiatives, while mentoring and developing our team of engineers. I oversee the design, testing and approval of road safety and hostile vehicle mitigation products, ensuring they meet both domestic and international standards, and continually support and monitor their performance in the global market to maintain their market-leading performances. I work closely with manufacturing partners worldwide to deliver efficient solutions maintaining high quality and multi-region compliance. I also bring strong expertise in intellectual property (IP) registration and protection, helping to secure and maximise the commercial impact of our innovations. My leadership approach focuses on nurturing talent, empowering people, inspiring teamwork and fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and shared success. I am proud to contribute to shaping the wider industry through my active involvement in various steering and governing body committees including- US Transport Research Board AFB20- National Highways Sector Scheme 10 Committee - British Standards B/509/01 Road Restraints Committee - Fellow of the Institute of Highways Engineers Through these priorities, I aim to drive excellence in engineering, safety and innovation, while creating environments where teams are empowered to succeed and make a meaningful impact.
