My name is Adrian, I am a first-generation college student pursuing a computer science degree at the University of Houston looking to become a UX designer.As an immigrant student, I have overcome several obstacles that have put me in places that have challenged my skills. I have grown to appreciate my qualities and flaws, they make me the person I am and the professional I want to become.With more than 10 years of graphic design experience, I have adventured into the world of User experience to bring quality products to users and developers alike. Being a self-taught UI/UX designer has been a quite difficult task as the lack of resources at UH are scarce, that is why sharing my passion for design and helping others with their design journey has become my mission, I have committed to creating content and hosting workshops and info sessions that can be used by computer science students to get into the world of user experience design.I am a creative person who likes to explore new technologies and ways I can implement my ideas into actual prototypes and projects, I love the process of creating fun and engaging designs that are appealing to the public and are easy to use.I love to engage with the CS community at UH, I am the VP-Marketing of CougarCS, the largest computer science organization at UH, I lead a team of 3 designers, 1 historian, and 1 design mentee, I am responsible of bringing people to the organization, engage with them, explain what our mission is about, and maintain our overall brand by designing graphics, flyers, promotional videos, etc. while leading my team to create quality content for the students.Feel free to communicate with me, ask any questions about my projects or just talk about design in general, if you need advice in your design journey I am free to talk.
