Adria Starkey is a financial services executive who has led the growth and expansion of nationally known public institutions like Wachovia and has also launched startup operations that she has grown to multi-billion dollar institutions in local and regional markets, such as FineMark Bank, where she currently serves as President of Collier County. Other startups have included the Naples Trust Company, where she was a founding partner and COO of its parent, the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company. Throughout her three-decade career, Adria has built a reputation as a passionate leader who prioritizes life long learning, upward mobility for teammates, and old-fashioned customer service that leverages technology but never replaces deep, and meaningful relationships. She has lead and grown effective teams from scores to over 1,200 associates and finds that her leadership principles are scalable and effective regardless of the number of employees or billions of dollars under management.Adria is an avid public speaker who delivers timely and provocative information aimed at educating women regarding financial responsibility and planning. Her programs span multi-generational topics and she incorporates her own life experiences to provide practical and relatable solutions.Adria’s community involvement is extensive and she has received many awards and honors for her work locally and in the State of Florida. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the $16B Florida Prepaid College Board, as the Advisory Board Chair of the Florida Gulf Coast University School of Entrepreneurship, and as Chair of the Development Committee of Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida, a $50M FQHC. She is a Lifetime Trustee of the Naples Children and Education Foundation, and a Trustee Emeritus of the Shelter for Abused Women and Children where she also served as Chair of the Foundation. Other past Board service includes Artis Naples, the University of Florida Harn Museum, the Economic Development Council of Collier County, the Education Foundation and Community School of Naples. Adria was named one of the most influential business leaders in Florida in 2021 by Florida Trend Magazine, inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, and named as one of Collier County’s most influential leaders numerous years in a row. Other recognitions include Woman of the Year, and Edison College Award for Leadership in Fostering Education.Adria is a Florida Gator and when she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her husband.
