About Arian Ravanbakhsh

I serve as a Supervisory Records Management Policy Analyst in the Office of the Chief Records Officer at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Since 2006, I have worked on the Records Management/e-Gov Policy Team. Our team is primarily responsible for developing records management guidance for Federal Agencies and working with them to ensure all records are properly managed. Previously, I worked as a NARA appraisal archivist working with the records of several agencies including the U.S. Navy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. I previously served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Government Archivists and Records Administrators (NAGARA) and the Steering Committee of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC). I have also served on several program committees for the Society of American Archivists (SAA).From 20••••18, I served a two-year term as the chair of the Alumni Board of my Alma Mater, Washington College.
