In my role as an in-house counsel, I support the legal team in EMEA for a US-headquartered multinational with operations in around 30 countries. I assist with a range of legal matters including corporate governance, labor and employment issues, regulatory compliance, and data privacy across the EMEA region.I contribute to drafting and negotiating various types of contracts such as master services agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, technology reseller arrangements, and SaaS agreements. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project requirements, conduct RFPs/RFIs, evaluate proposals, and define negotiation strategies.My role involves providing legal support to HR and operational teams on local labor laws and employment practices, offering proactive advice on legal developments affecting the company, and assisting with project launches, new market entries, and incorporation of legal entities.Additionally, I manage relationships with outside counsel in EMEA and offer guidance on corporate governance and fiduciary duties, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
