About Adnan Abdul Rahim

I am a first year MBA candidate at Michigan State University, specializing in Supply Chain Management and seeking internship opportunities for the summer of 2017.After earning a B.E.(Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, I joined the automotive major Tata Motors where I have close to four years of experience. Here, my ability to take on challenging assignments and quickly assimilate in diverse teams has earned me positions in cross-functional teams working on critical projects.Working on a project to deliver prototype defence carriers for the UN on a stringent timeline and budget, I was responsible for product development, end to end supply chain establishment and supplier quality assurance for a particular commodity. Later, I worked on a critical organization level initiative to synergize and transform supplier operations by addressing key supplier grievances, driving process improvements, equipment and manufacturing technology upgradation and restructuring and benchmarking management systems. On both assignments, I liaised with various internal functions such as technical services, planning, finance, quality assurance and new product introduction for successful implementation.All through my academic life and career I have been known to display a keen sense of initiative, mentorship, collaboration and an eye for detail. As a first year MBA candidate at Broad, I intend to develop my business acumen and polish my leadership skills.
