About Adiyan Islam
Driven University of Washington Computer Science student with a passion for building complete, end-to-end systems that solve real-world problems. My experience ranges from low-level hardware and C++ embedded systems to designing and building full-stack, safety-critical AI applications. I thrive on owning a project\'s entire lifecycle, from the initial system architecture and database design to the final, polished product.My most recent internship involved building an AI chatbot microservice from scratch, where I engineered a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL to ensure factual accuracy and prevent hallucinations. A core part of this project was developing a quantitative evaluation framework to rigorously test the AI\'s performance. I am always looking for opportunities to tackle complex technical challenges and am eager to contribute my skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
