I have been deeply involved in projects focused on predicting the redshift of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) and gamma-ray bursts using advanced supervised machine learning techniques. For the AGNs project, I developed a supervised ensemble ML model called SuperLearner to predict the redshift of AGNs. This involved optimizing both Random Forest and XGBoost models as well as selecting key features. I also tackled missing data issues using multivariate imputation (MICE) and classified AGNs using the SuperLearner model. The results of this work were significant enough to be published in four research articles. For the gamma-ray burst redshift estimation, I developed another ensemble SuperLearner model, incorporating methods such as GAM, GLM, Bayes GLM, Step AIC, SVM, and Random Forest. This project included balancing sample data, performing Monte Carlo simulations, conducting statistical analyses, estimating errors, and correcting biases. Additionally, I co-developed a web application using Streamlit to facilitate this work. My efforts have resulted in two publications, with another currently under review. In the realm of gamma-ray burst lightcurve reconstruction, I created a pipeline using Gaussian Process to reconstruct gaps in GRB lightcurves. This pipeline achieved a 30% reduction in the errors of estimated parameters, leading to the publication of yet another research article. Through these projects, I have demonstrated my ability to handle complex machine learning tasks, manage data imputation, optimize models, and achieve significant reductions in estimation errors. These achievements showcase my expertise in the field and my commitment to advancing the understanding and application of machine learning in astrophysics.
